Spitak is a stray dog. On 17 Feb 2026 he was brought to the "Shunn u Katun" veterinary clinic after a road accident. On examination: temperature 40.2, suspected pelvic fracture and multiple hind-limb fractures, reduced sensation, rapid shallow breathing, and an extensive skin injury in the groin area. There is also a risk of spinal injury, so full diagnostics are needed.
We provided first aid and gave a treatment plan: pain control and antibiotic therapy as prescribed, plus recommendations for monitoring his temperature and overall condition.
Next step - Yerevan. Spitak needs an X-ray and, most likely, surgery (osteosynthesis). We do not have X-ray in Vanadzor, so we recommended diagnostics and surgical treatment in Yerevan. Right now, Spitak is staying in paid foster care.
The clinic bill is closed: 8 750 AMD was covered by the Jar of Kindness.
