Dunchik lives at Armine's shelter. After emergency treatment for babesiosis, he came for a follow-up appointment on February 19: he started lying down more, showed apathy, and had a foul breath odor. His appetite remains normal, and his mucous membranes are pale pink.
To understand the cause of his lethargy and assess the condition of his internal organs after the infection, we performed an abdominal ultrasound. The results showed signs of hepatopathy (hepatosis?), nephropathy (suspected changes in the right kidney), and signs of cystitis.
At the appointment, we continued supportive therapy and prescribed a treatment course: IV infusions of Ringer's solution and vitamin B12 for 5 days, Heptral for 10 days, Almagel orally for 5 days, pain relief for 3 days, and continuation of Unidox for up to 14 days. Additional recommendations include blood tests (CBC and biochemistry) on February 24 and a repeat ultrasound of the urinary system.
Total on the invoice: 19,900 AMD. This amount includes the follow-up visit, ultrasound, IV administration of medications, injections, and consumables (supporting documents are available here).
