On March 20, 2026, volunteer Gayane brought a cat named Persik to our clinic. Before that, he had been sitting outside near a bench, hunched up, with dirty fur and a very tired look. It was immediately clear that he needed help.
During the examination, we found that Persik had a strong odor from his mouth, purulent discharge, and a reduced appetite.
On examination, we discovered rotten teeth on the left side, a large amount of tartar on the right side, pronounced gingivitis, severe enlargement of the spleen, and skin inflammation in the scrotal area.
That same day, Persik underwent oral sanitation with tooth extraction, as well as castration. He also received intravenous fluids with Ringer's solution, amoxicillin, Meloxicam vet, Ivermec, and vitamin B12. After the visit, he was prescribed further treatment - repeat injections of amoxicillin, Meloxicam vet, and Ivermec over the next few days.
The total cost of help for Persik amounted to 45,450 AMD. This included the initial examination, castration, dental cleaning, extraction of three teeth, medications, injections, placement of an intravenous catheter, and intravenous therapy.
Thank you to Gayane for noticing Persik, not walking past him, and for keeping him with her for the next few days.
