Marus lives on the street near "Gloria" in Vanadzor. On March 10, Marine contacted us and asked if Marus could be spayed through our social program.
By March 12, thanks to Marine, Marus was already at our clinic. But during the examination, it became clear that the situation was more complicated than it had seemed at first: Marus was already pregnant, and her weight was over 20 kg. This meant that spaying under the social program was no longer possible in her case - such a surgery requires more time, more anesthesia, and more medical supplies.
But in stories like this, stepping back is not an option. We decided to perform the surgery and help Marus.
That day, Marus was spayed. We also vaccinated her, microchipped her, took a tube sample, and entered all her information into our database. After the surgery, Marus received IV fluids and the necessary injections.
The help did not stop there. Thanks to Anna Hakobyan, after the surgery Marus spent 3 days in paid boarding care. During that time, she regained her strength, recovered well, and calmly went through the postoperative period.
Now Marus is a completely different dog - calm, recovered, and truly happy.
The total cost of help for Marus was 50,000 AMD. Marine was only able to cover 13,000 AMD, and the remaining 37,000 AMD was covered by The Jar of Kindness – Help Animals in Need.
