When Pina was found on the streets, she was just a shadow of herself—emaciated, with dull eyes, exhausted from years of wandering. She seemed to have accepted her fate, but then she got a chance—a person who couldn’t walk past her.
Several years ago, Vermishyan Armine saw this dog and decided to fight for her. Armine took Pina in, surrounded her with care, and helped her learn to trust people again. But in April 2024, something happened that could have erased everything—a serious condition that required urgent surgery.
Diagnosis: vaginal prolapse. This isn’t just an illness but an excruciating condition where every second brings pain. The surgery was complex and risky, but our veterinary team was ready to fight for Pina.
Veterinary surgeons performed an ovariohysterectomy and removed the prolapsed vaginal tissue—the procedure lasted several hours. We closely monitored Pina’s condition, provided high-quality postoperative care, and ensured supportive therapy.
She made it. Within days, Pina started eating, taking short walks, and within a couple of weeks, she was unrecognizable—her coat regained its shine, her eyes lit up, and her tail wagged again.
Now, she is happy next to the person who once gave her a second chance.
