About the Clinic
In December 2023, the first veterinary clinic in the Lori region, Shunn u Katun, opened in Vanadzor. The opening of the veterinary clinic marked a significant step in the city's development, as local residents and relocants had been lacking access to qualified care and often had to travel to other cities, such as Gyumri and Yerevan, to provide first aid, conduct health diagnostics, or perform vaccinations and spaying or neutering of their pets.
The veterinary clinic Shunn u Katun is equipped with medical equipment for performing minor and moderate surgeries, vaccinations, and spaying or neutering of animals. The clinic has a Japanese ultrasound machine, a dental cleaning device, and supplies for providing first veterinary aid.
In the plans for the coming year, there is an expansion of the range of health diagnostic services for four-legged patients. Additionally, the clinic's founders plan to attract and train veterinarians to work in the clinic and establish partnerships with educational institutions that graduate veterinarians or specialists in this field.
