Mika: A Story of Incredible Survival and a Search for a Loving Heart

At "Shun u Katun" clinic, we sometimes witness cases that can only be described as "small miracles." The story of a puppy named Mika is exactly that.

From the Fight for Survival to the First Steps Home

A month and a half ago, Yana (Mika’s rescuer and guardian) brought two sisters found in a courtyard on Tigran Mets Avenue to our clinic. Both were in critical condition, and we immediately began treatment for distemper.
While Mika’s sister recovered quickly, we had to fight for Mika’s life with everything we had. She pulled through despite the odds, but the disease led to severe inflammation, and unfortunately, part of her front paw could not be saved.
Mika’s Current Status:
  • She is under Yana’s care at a recovery foster home.
  • Her paw is healing well and closing up.
  • She has received her first vaccination, with the second one scheduled soon.
  • Despite her physical challenge, she remains active and full of life.

A Heart of Gold

Mika is only 5 months old, and she is a truly "human-oriented" puppy. She is incredibly affectionate, cheerful, and social. The fact that she fought so hard to survive speaks to her strong spirit and her immense desire to be loved.

Who Are We Looking For?

Mika is not a "yard dog." She needs her Person—a responsible owner who understands that a special dog might need a little extra care, but will return that care with a hundredfold more love.
