Today, December 28, 2025, Brigitte Bardot passed away. She was 91.
For some, she will always be a symbol of a cinematic era. For me, she was someone who made animal welfare not "cute", but structured and measurable: a foundation, a team, programs, outcomes.
Fondation Brigitte Bardot is one of the partners that has been carrying spay/neuter campaigns for years across different countries, including the CIS. And yes - in Armenia as well: our campaigns in Vanadzor and the work of Շունն ու կատուն Vetclinic were supported within that network of international partners, where the Bardot Foundation was a key pillar. This is not abstract "support for animals" - it is real surgeries, supplies, logistics, vets, and lives saved.
A person's death is always a line in the sand. But in serious projects, it doesn't mean "everything stops". It means "we continue, with even more precision". We will continue - because in our field, the best way to say "thank you" sounds like this: fewer puppies and kittens freezing outside, less suffering, more responsible owners, more sterilizations, vaccinations, and a real working system on the ground.
