Modern studies show that even a single vaccination with combined vaccines (Nobivac, Vanguard, Biocan, Biofel, Multican, etc.) provides the vast majority of dogs and cats with strong immunity against major infectious diseases and rabies. Only about 10% of animals may fail to develop sufficient protection without a booster dose. This is why international recommendations (including
WSAVA) advise revaccination one year after the first shot, and then every three years depending on the product.
Given the specifics of working with stray animals, where repeat capture within a short time is extremely difficult, we have adapted the vaccination schedule to real conditions and carry out revaccination every 1–3 years. This approach allows us to build sustainable immunity in more than 90% of the population.
It not only reduces the prevalence of dangerous diseases among stray dogs and cats but also directly improves the epidemiological situation in Armenia, protecting the health of both companion animals and people.
