For the first interview about rescue organisations, we spoke with Gohar Manushakyan of Dingo Team, a Yerevan-based nonprofit team that, at the interview date, worked with different animal species and sometimes travelled to other parts of Armenia.
How to write the first message
- Explain briefly what happened and when.
- Send the exact address, a location pin and a clear landmark.
- Include a full view, a close view of the problem and a short video under one minute.
- Describe behaviour: approachable, moving away, fearful, growling or lunging.
- Leave your name and phone number, and say what you can handle: transport, accompaniment, foster care or aftercare.

How Dingo Team described its process
The contact for Gohar Manushakyan and the team at the interview date was the Dingo Team Facebook page, using Messenger. The team preferred messages from 10:00 to 22:00; urgent messages could be sent overnight, without a guarantee of an immediate reply. Armenian and Russian were available in speech and writing, and English in writing.
- Open wounds, bleeding and critical cases received higher priority.
- If the animal was already at a clinic, the clinic and veterinarian’s name were important.
- For bite risk or suspected rabies, people were asked to keep their distance and flag the danger immediately.
- In the described workflow, the team could refer a case to a partner clinic and open a fundraiser for that specific animal, using clinic documents.
- A message without an exact location, photo or video and a person on site was much harder to act on.
This is Part 4.1
The next interviews are with Adel Foundation and Dilijan Care. Each team has its own region, capacity and process.
