On a street in Dilijan, a small dog with dull eyes could barely stay on her feet. Hrant Macharyan spotted her and decided to help. He could not bring her to the clinic himself, so a taxi driver named Vache stepped in. He brought Koko safely to us.

Why Koko needed emergency surgery

Koko was listless, would not eat and had watery eyes. The examination and ultrasound revealed pyometra and inguinal hernias. Every hour mattered, so we decided to operate immediately.

The surgeons removed her inflamed uterus and repaired both hernias. The operation was successful.

The first days after surgery

Within a few days, Koko perked up. She started eating, looking around attentively and taking an interest in life again.

The people who helped Koko

We contributed more than AMD 35,000 towards Koko's treatment. We are grateful to Hrant for stopping to help and to Vache for bringing her to the clinic. Their kindness meant Koko received urgent care in time.
